Clinical aromatherapy massage is a gentle and relaxing massage that uses plant extracts (essential oils) to treat or prevent disease.
The use of essential oils to treat ailments and disease dates back thousands of years.
It was not until the 1920’s when Rene-Maurice Gattefosse accidentally burnt his hand during an experiment in his perfume laboratory that Aromatherapy as we know it today was born.
When he plunged his hand into the nearest cold liquid, which happened to be lavender oil he immediately noticed its remarkable soothing, cooling and healing power and immediately began to research the healing properties of plant extracts.
Although the incredible healing properties contained in essential oils can be used to treat hundreds of conditions from skin complaints to fungal infections, they are particularly effective for treating emotional, stress or anxiety problems, muscular or rheumatic aches and pains, female hormonal conditions like PMS, post natal depression and menopausal problems and problems of the digestive system.
When applied directly onto the skin through massage, the oils are absorbed very quickly into the bloodstream and begin working almost straight away.

MINI FACIALS
This is a quick facial designed to give your skin a beneficial boost. It takes 30 minutes to complete and includes a double cleanse, exfoliation, mask treatment or head massage, toner and moisturiser. All products used will suit your skin type and needs.
PRESCRIPTION FACIALS
These facials involve skin mapping your whole face and neck to ensure your skin needs are fully met. During the facial, our experienced therapists will determine your skin type and skin needs and adapt the facial and products to suit.
SPECIALISED FACIALS
These facials are designed around anyone with special skin care needs. This can include excessively oily and congested skin; prematurely ageing skin; anyone with acne scarring, pigmentation damage, chick pox scarring etc. These facials will also use the Professional Dermalogica Skin Care Range as well as where necessary –
Microdermabrasion – this is excellent for reducing fine lines and wrinkles; pigmentation damage; scarring; coarse and congested skin; removing blackheads and milia; refining open pores and evening skin texture.
Galvanic Desincrustation – this treatment will open pores to deep cleanse congested, oily skin. It will remove blackheads and refine skin texture.
Galvanic Iontophoresis – this is a treatment designed to introduce beneficial active ingredients deep into the skin. It can be used on any skin type and the products used contain ingredients that will suit different skin types -
Oily skin will be calmed, oil regulated and inflammation reduced.
Sensitive skin will be soothed and nourished and the risk of broken capillaries reduced.
Dry/dehydrated skin will be nourished, moisturised and hydrated.
Mature skin products contain collagen and elastin that will improve tone and elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Normal skin products contain ingredients that will maintain skin health.
